Fox ATC in Zentangle-inspired style

Here is a Zentangle-inspired ATC that I did for a swap through http://www.Swap-bot.com. I don’t generally do ATCs, only every now and again. This is done on Bristol board with Micron ink pens in black.

Red Johnny

This is an original artwork inspired by the Zentangle Method that can be found on the site below. This particular drawing was done as part of I Am the Diva’s #153rd challenge to use the tangle “Jailed Johnny”. I used watercolor pencils and a paintbrush to add the background, then used both Micron and Sharpie non-bleed ink pens to add the detail. To add shading I used a FaberCastell watercolor marker in grey.

Blue Hue Zentangle

This is an artwork created for I am the Diva’s challenge # 152 (to use the tangle Aquafleur). I added a watercolor wash on Bristol board and used Micron pens with Sharpie fine tip non bleed pens. You can view the Diva’s blog here http://www.iamthedivaczt.blogspot.com/. It’s a fantastic blog!

Valentine's Day card

Drew this card in the Zentangle® style on a blank pastel purple card I had. This is for a swap on Swap-bot.com.

Valentine inspired by Zentangles

Here is a Valentine I drew for an example for an upcoming workshop I have been invited to teach on February 8th with a local arts council. I used Micron pens in black as well as watercolor markers.

Platonic

Here is a (not so great) pic of Platonic, a piece that is currently in a show at the Wesley Senior Health Center in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Collosal

I like the variety of shades in this piece, even though there isn’t really any shading going on. Just the combination of dark and light with the different pen strokes seems pleasing the the eye.
