Morning Muffin

While kids were still asleep, I opted to squeeze in a sketch as I ate. Here is Morning Muffin, done in plain #2 pencil in my moleskin sketch book. Enjoy! 😊

Portrait in Plaid

Here is a pencil portrait from a photograph of my son.  It looks nothing like my son, naturally.  However, I was pleased with the results for the most part.  Done in my moleskin sketchbook with a basic Ticonderoga #2 pencil.  For the life of me I couldn’t get the nose right.  I’m just amazed that I had 20 minutes or so to work on a sketch today.  My boys are particularly lazy today, maybe due to the 90+ degree weather outside.  Enjoy.

Portrait #5 Sketch of Easton Reading

Here is a quicker sketch in Micron black ink (quicker than what I’ve been doing anyway).  I wanted to be a little bit faster because I think drawing too “tightly” and detailed has been a factor in my drawing so far.
