About the artist. I have a Bachelors in Fine Arts and a Masters in Art Education as well as a Masters in Special Education with a focus on Learning Disabilities. I have created art for my entire life. My main problem is that I cannot limit myself. I draw, paint, sculpt, sew, quilt, work with colored pencils, watercolor… you name it, I’ve done it, or will do it.
I live in upstate New York with my husband and twin boys. Unable to find a position in education has led me to a new outlook on life. I currently work for a wonderful Hi-Fi Audio and Video store with an admirable family appeal. This new job allows me to tuck my kids in at night, and read them bedtime stories, something I’ve missed out on for the first 3 years of their life. Now THAT’S something!
I love to cook, jog, walk the dog, kayak, read murder/mystery and cop novels, and hunt (don’t love but do it as a means of food). Everyday I continue to fight the mom struggle of squeezing in some artistic time to myself, and typically end up somehow inviting my children, one of which loves art more than the other.
